Burgundy beaded lace evening dress: two looks in one dress
A satin overskirt that comes off
First, this burgundy evening dress solves a very practical problem: having the volume of a ceremony gown on arrival without trailing it all evening. A burgundy satin overskirt opens at the front, fastens at the waist with a belt and lifts off completely. Once removed, it reveals a slim lace sheath, light and close to the body.
Beaded lace across the whole dress
The sheath underneath is cut in lace with a foliage motif, embroidered with beads and sequins. Burgundy is a dense colour that absorbs light: without texture it would fall flat in evening photographs. Here the beading throws back scattered highlights that restore depth, while the satin of the overskirt brings a glossy contrast to the matte lace.
