Pink is the most requested colour for spring and summer weddings — and the one where the choice of shade matters most. Between a powder pink and a fuchsia lie two very different outfits, for two very different occasions.
Choosing the right shade
Powder pink remains the safest choice for a wedding guest: soft enough never to upstage the bride, formal enough for a ceremony. In spring it is also the most popular shade for bridesmaids.
Stronger pinks suit evening receptions and galas, where a definite colour has its place.
One thing to bear in mind: very pale pinks can read as white under camera flash. If the wedding has an indoor photographer, choose a slightly stronger shade.
